CHICKASHA — Memorial service for Jerry Wayne Adams, 64 of Alex, Okla., will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, in the Alex High School Auditorium. Jim Coale will officiate.

Jerry Wayne Adams was born on Jan. 9, 1946, in Bakersfield, Calif. He died on Sept. 1, 2010, at his home in Alex.

Jerry grew up and lived in many states during his life. After graduation from Lindsay High School, he entered the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Jerry was married to Carol Sue Long on Sept. 10, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, Hollis Adams.

Survivors include wife: Sue Adams of Alex, daughter and husband: Gereldene & Mark Chaney of Ninnekah, daughter and husband: Tammy and Charles Townsend of Chickasha, granddaughter and husband: Melanie and Tim Troutman of Rush Springs, grandchildren: Amber, Clay and Cody Chaney of Ninnekah, grandchildren: Breanna and Clifford Townsend of Chickasha, mother: Jimmie Lee Adams of Atoka, sister and husband: Virginia and Paul Finch of Atoka, sister: Mary Hood of Atoka, sister: Sharon Wilp of Atoka, sister and husband: Barbara and Jim Corter of Bethel Heights, Ark., many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorial service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home
