Graveside services for Sylvia Louise Parsons, 84, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct., 10, 2012, at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 224- at the First Presbyterian Church in Chickasha.
Sylvia Louise Parsons was born Oct. 24, 1927 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Barny and Lee Burgess. She died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in Oklahoma City.
She had lived in Anadarko, before moving to Chickasha in 1995. She was an engineering aid for Bell Telephone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert W. Parsons, Sr.; son, Donald Kenneth Hanks, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; stepchildren, Betty Louise Johnston of Anadarko, Wayne Parsons, Jr. and wife Lynda of Anadarko, Gary Parsons of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Adam Hanks, Stephen Hanks, Brian Hanks; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha.
