Edna Margarite O’Quinn

Memorial services for Edna Margarite O’Quinn , 94, of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness with Elder Cary Jackson officiating.
Edna Margarite O’Quinn was born July 3, 1918, in Marlow, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonidas Henderson, and Sarah (Lakin) Henderson. She died on Monday, August 20, 2012, at her home in Chickasha.
Edna grew up on a farm with her siblings near Marlow. She left school in the 7th grade to help her ailing mother with the responsibilities of running the household; which included doing laundry on a rub board eight hours a day.
After her mother’s passing her father moved the family to Tracy, California for work in 1936. There she met and married Fred L. Forsythe, in 1937, and they had five children. They were married for thirty-five years until his death.
She worked in a ship yard as “Rosie the riveter” in Tracy, California during WW II. The family moved to Sacramento, California, where she worked as a baker while rearing her children.
In 1972 she moved to back to Oklahoma, where she married Jesse O’Quinn. They shared twenty-five years together until his death in 1997. She spent the rest of her life surrounded by her family and friends.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Edna loved serving Jehovah and shared his message with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by: both parents; her two husbands; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis & Gloria Forsythe, Elgie & Pat Forsythe and Harold (Buzz) Forsythe; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denice & Richard Largent and Joan & Richard Malin; one brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Dorothy Henderson; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Patsy McDonald Rhymes
Patsy McDonald Rhymes, 62, of Chickasha, beloved wife of Danny Rhymes, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. She will be greatly missed by a large and loving extended family and many friends. Patsy was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her time caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband Danny, her son Starling and his wife Connie, and grandchildren Rochelle and Michael. Patsy was especially close to her niece Pam and also leaves behind her brothers Charles, Paige, and Roland along with her sisters Thelma and Jeana.
Graveside services were held in Hominy, on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by her longtime family minister, Rev. Leonard Lindsay. Arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma. -
Nyoka “Jo” Hadley
Private graveside services were held for Noyka Hadley, 67, of Chickasha, on Wednesday May 15, 2013 in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Noyka was born on February 10, 1946, in Houston, Texas. She died May 11, 2013, in Chickasha.
Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Lois Morris
Funeral service for Lois Morris, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha. Lois was born June 13, 1923, the daughter of Elva L. and Eva Opal (Heavin) Keeton. She died May 13, 2013, in Muskogee.

Graveside services for Betty Jo James, 84.will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City and Wednesday and Thursday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs.
Betty was born in Cox City, on Thursday, Sept. 27, 1928 and passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Elk City.

Freida Perkins
Funeral services for Freida Perkins, 95, of Chickasha, will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
Freida Perkins was born March 19, 1918, at Kalamazoo, Michigan. She passed away at her home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Mrs. Perkins married Daniel Perkins on November 14, 1940. She and Daniel lived in New Mexico from 1940 to 1980, when they moved to the Amber area.
She had worked in the New Mexico public school system and after moving to Amber she worked at the Amber Café for seven years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Perkins in 1986 and a son, Danny Perkins in 2010.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by a sister, Esther Healey, of PawPaw, Michigan; four grandchildren: Penny Fuller, George Perkins, Wayne Perkins and T.J. Perkins; 11 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; Daughter-in-law: Wynema Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Carla and Eddie.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. -
