CHICKASHA —
The Chickasha High School varsity girls track and boys soccer teams will have new coaches in the 2012-2013 school year.
CHS head volleyball coach Nancy Waters will also coach the high school's girls track team this coming year.
Gary Sampson was the coach of both the girls and boys varsity track teams, and he will continue with the boys team next season.
Waters was already involved with the Chickasha Middle School girls track team, as well as the seventh-grade basketball team.
Scott Parkinson, who was an assistant coach for Bethany Goble last soccer season, will take over as the boys soccer head coach, replacing previous coach Steve Scott. Scott stepped down from the post after leading the Chicks to the playoffs last season.
Parkinson is already familiar with the Chickasha soccer program, and comes to the Chicks after playing collegiate soccer for USAO last year.
Nolan Crowdus was hired as a special education paraprofessional for 2012-2013, and will be assisting with the football, track and baseball programs throughout the year.
Crowdus played baseball for USAO last season, and helped out on his own time with the baseball team during some parts of the summer league season.
