The Chickasha High School girls track and field team finished sixth overall in the conference meet at Deer Creek High School.
Chelci Oliver finished second in the girls 100 meter dash with a time of 12.81 seconds. Kori Smith finished sixth with a time of 13.56 seconds.
Dawnshaye Blakes finished second in the 200 meter dash, posting a 27.21 second time in the race.
Mary Kathleen Allen placed sixth in the 800 meter run, finishing in 2:38.39.
Baylee Williams finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.29. Narissa Cantu finished eighth at 19.60.
Williams also placed eighth in the 300 meter hurdles, finishing in 53.16 seconds.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Smith, Tawn Neidy, Blakes and Oliver finished third with a time of 51.35 seconds.
That same team also ran the 4x200 meter relay, and placed fourth, running the race in 1:51.90.
Neidy placed seventh in the pole vault, clearing a height of 7-06.00. Williams came in a tie for eights at 7-00.00.
Blakes placed second in the long jump, finishing just one inch behind Jessie Heiden of Deer Creek. Blakes posted a jump of 15-06.50.
In throwing events, Lyric Smith finished sixth in the shot put, throwing 28-11.00. She also finished tied for sixth in the discus throw, with a mark of 80-03.
Neidy won the 9th grade 400 meter run with a time of 1:06.46.
Cantu finished fourth in the 9th grade 300 meter hurdles, running the race in 55.45 seconds.
Neidy's mark of 7-06.00, which she also earned in the varsity pole vault, was good enough to win the 9th grade event.
Cantu placed second in the 9th grade long jump at 14-01.00.
Boys results
The Chickasha boys track and field team placed fifth in the Suburban Conference track meet.
Lindberg Carey finished seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.80.
Rashad Garrett finished third in the 400 meter run at 53.53 seconds.
Zach Widener placed fourth in the 3200 meter run, earning a time of 10:48.01.
Nathan Stewart ran the 300 meter hurdles for the Fightin' Chicks, finishing in 49.85 seconds in ninth place.
Chickasha's 4x100 boys relay team of Carey, Garrett, Dalvin Madison and Evan Copeland finished third, running the race in 45.34.
Shaq Oliver finished sixth in the high jump, at 5-08.00. T.J. Filer jumped 16-05.00 in the long jump, finishing 14th.
Three Chickasha athletes entered the shot put, with Alex Scallion finishing 12th with a throw of 31-07.00, Matt Johnson finishing 13th with a jump of 30-05.50, and Brandon Hopgood throwing 28-04.00 in 17th place.
Scallion placed 13th in the discus at 74-04.50 and Hopgood was 14th at 70-08.75.
Dalvin Madison finished ninth in the 9th grade 100 meter dash, running it in 12.12 seconds. Leonard Smith threw the discus 79-04 for a 13th place finish.
The regional track meet for Chickasha High School will be held May 5 at Mustang High School.
The Chicks will be joined by Ada, Deer Creek, Duncan, Durant, El Reno, Guymon, Lawton MacArthur, Shawnee and Western Heights.
