Chickasha Youth Wrestling’s Cade Muncrief brought home a national runner-up title from the Cliff Keen Reno World National Championships in Reno, NV last week.
Cade competed in Division 1 (6 and under) at 52 pounds. He won three matches in a row to get to the finals with a first-round pin, a 13-9 quarterfinal decision and a 15-7 win in the semifinals.
Cade lost in the finals to the defending national champion, Juan Bazaldua from Bolingbrook (IL) and had to wrestle a challenge match to keep his second-place finish, which he dominated for a 10-1 major decision and a national runner-up finish.
