CHICKASHA — The Chickasha High School softball team overcame errors and some costly mental mistakes to beat Cache on Saturday night at Elkouri Field in Chickasha.
The Lady Chicks won the game 6-5, with Brooke Burns scoring the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Kelsi Gore pitched the entire game for Chickasha, and helped her own cause with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, which gave Chickasha a two-run lead at the time.
Chickasha will play three more preseason scrimmages in the Tuttle Festival on Monday. The times will be reported as soon as we have them.
