Chamber golf scramble comes to River Bend

CHICKASHA —

The River Bend Golf Club reopened at the end of June, and things are in full swing now.

With the 25th-annual Chickasha Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic coming up in a few weeks, activity has picked up at River Bend.

The Chamber event is scheduled for Friday, July 27, with tee time set at 9 a.m. for the scramble competition that will feature teams of four golfers.

According to a press release, the golfers will be competing for $1,200 in prize money, including other prizes for accomplishments such as the longest drive or getting closest to the pin.

A prize valued up to $10,000 is on the line for the first golfer to make a hole-in-one on a designated par 3 hole.

Entry fees are $300 for a team or $75 for an individual. If a golfer signs up as an individual, that golfer will be placed on a team.

Entry forms can be picked up at the Chamber office on Chickasha Avenue, or those interested can call the Chamber office at 405-224-0787. The deadline for entry is Friday, July 20.

River Bend Golf Club is located at 1156 County Road 1345 in Chickasha, Okla., and the phone number is 222-1995.
