It's already been a special season for the Chickasha High School girls basketball team.
The Lady Chicks earned a double-digit win total in the regular season, capping it off with an upset of No. 1 Shawnee on Chickasha's senior night.
Then, the Chickasha girls beat Guthrie in the first round of regionals to send them to area.
That's where the Lady Chicks stand now, facing a matchup with the Thomas Edison girls in Bixby tonight at 8 p.m.
Chickasha lost in the regional championship game, 68-63 to Tahlequah on Saturday, so it's win or go home for the team from here on out.
Thomas Edison is the No. 6 team in class 5A, with a record of 17-7.
If Chickasha beats Thomas Edison, it will play the loser between East Central and Collinsville at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sapulpa.
The Lady Chicks need to win their next two games to qualify for the state tournament.
