Sports Minute: Tracy Moore will be playing the field

Stillwater NewsPress

STILLWATER — When Oklahoma State takes to the field for the season opener against Savannah State in less than two weeks, it won't be a surprise to see veteran receiver Tracy Moore working both the inside and outside receiver positions.

"I'm just learning to play different positions. Trying to find out how I can help the team in ways other than I have been," Moore said after Saturday's scrimmage. "I've been bouncing between the inside and outside receiver positions, learning different releases and how both positions work and how the safeties and corners are looking for."

According to Moore, it's not a case of the coaches are finding which spot he would be better to play from.

"I'm feeling comfortable at both positions, it just depends on where the coaches want me," Moore said. "They're just trying to utilize me in both spots."

The receiver position may not be the only position that Moore could be playing out of though.

"Haven't worked out of the backfield, not yet," Moore said. "We'll probably work on it a little bit, but not yet."
