Chickasha senior and 189 lb State Champion Colton Hill can add one final footnote to his high school wrestling resume – All-Stater.
Hill (34-3), ranked No. 1 for the entire season, was the overwhelming choice for All-State honors as he cruised through his weight class. He’ll have one more bout as part of the Oklahoma Coaches’ Association All-State Week at Tulsa Union’s Multi-Activity Center on Tuesday, July 27. (Wrestling starts at 8 p.m.)
Altus’ Nick Williams will coach the Large West team, made up of Hill and seniors Alex Cobos (112), the 103 lb State Champion, Harrah’s Austin Quinton (119 lb SC), Norman North’s Josh Kennedy (125 lb 6A SC), Edmond’s Josh Durham (130 lb 6A fourth-placer), Choctaw’s Dustin Reed (135 lbs, 6A, DNP), Noble’s Kaleb Cradduck (140 lb runner-up), Carl Albert’s Jared Porter (145 lb SC), Altus’ Trevor Sterling (152), the 160 lb runner-up, Deer Creek’s Heath Boyd (160), the fourth-place finisher at 152 lbs, El Reno’s Cory Dauphin (171), the 160 lb SC, NW Classen’s Mike Anderson (215 lb SC) and El Reno’s Cody Dauphin, the heavyweight State Champion.
