CHICKASHA —
The Chickasha High School swim team beat Putnam City West in what head coach Terri Gallaway called one of the best meets yet Thursday at USAO.
The Lady Chicks won 146-133, while the boys team beat PC West 144-134.
The girls 200-meter medley relay team of Kylie Foster, Bailey Bryan, Caitlin Critchfield and Madison Rivas won their race.
The girls 200-meter freestyle relay team of Critchfield, Greta Crowl, Foster and Rivas also finished first.
The boys 200-meter freestyle relay team of Russell Jobe, Kale Nye, Dale Courtney and Andrew Ross placed first.
As well as the relay teams performed, the Chicks may have been even better in the individual races.
Individual race winners include Bailey Bryan in the 400-meter freestyle, Caitlin Critchfield in the 100-meter butterfly, Kylie Foster in the 100-meter breaststroke and 100-meter backstroke, Madison Rivas in the 100-meter freestyle, Andrew Ross in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke, John Allen in the 200-meter freestyle, Dale Courtney in the 100-meter freestyle, and Kale Nye in the 400-meter freestyle.
Second place finishers in relays: Girls 400-meter freestyle relay (Crowl, Kristen Kern, Ashli Taylor, Hailie Luther), boys 200-meter medley relay (Ross, Nye, Jobe, Courtney), and boys 400-meter freestyle relay (Allen, Nils Michael, Nathan Stewart and Bryan Luther).
Other individual finishers: Bailey Bryan, second in 100-meter breaststroke; Caitlin Critchfield, second in 100-meter backstroke; Greta Crowl, second in 200-meter freestyle, third in 100-meter freestyle; Kristen Kern, fourth in 50-meter freestyle and fourth in 100-meter butterfly; Hailie Luther, third in 200-meter freestyle and third in 50-meter freestyle; Madison Rivas, second in the 50-meter freestyle.
John Allen, second in 100-meter freestyle; Dale Courtney, second in 200-meter freestyle; Russell Jobe, second in the 200-meter individual medley, second in the 50-meter freestyle; Nils Michael, second in the 400-meter freestyle, third in the 100-meter breaststroke; Kale Nye, second in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Chickasha's next meet is scheduled for Nov. 29 at 4:30 p.m. in Shawnee.
