CHICKASHA — Missing Logan County man found dead,

three arrested

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (AP) — A missing Logan County man has been found dead and three people are in custody on murder complaints in the case.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says 54-year-old Charles Dutton was found dead Saturday morning in southeastern Oklahoma City. She says Dutton was reported missing about noon Friday.

A suspected cause of death was not released.

Brown says 28-year-old Christy Lee Rogers and 24-year-old Donald Elliott were arrested Saturday and 20-year-old Midiyuana Huber was arrested Friday. Each face first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery complaints in Dutton's death.

Brown says investigators are still looking for L.C. Baker of Logan County.

It was not known if Rogers, Elliott or Huber had yet hired an attorney.

Fair arena said safe a

fter chunk of ceiling falls

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma State Fair officials and building inspectors say State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City is safe after a chunk of ceiling fell from the building this week.

But inspectors acknowledge more debris could fall.

A 12-inch-by-4-inch piece of the ceiling fell Tuesday — just days before thousands began arriving for Friday's start of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show.

The Zahl-Ford structural engineering firm investigated this week's incident and company vice president Steve Ford says inspectors found there is no immediate safety threat. Ford said more debris could fall and Oklahoma State Fair president Tim O'Toole says seating is closed beneath the area where the chunk fell.

Altus man killed in

fall at new grain elevator

ALTUS, Okla. (AP) — The man killed in a fall at the construction site of a new grain elevator has been identified as an Altus man.

Authorities say 42-year-old Frankie Heldstab fell about 130 feet about 9:15 a.m. Friday at the site along U.S. 62 about six miles east of Altus. No other injuries are reported.

Jackson County Undersheriff Machelle Dickerson says Heldstab was a contractor working for Minnesota-based Vigen Construction — which is building the elevator for Nebraska-based Gavilon Grain LLC.

Gavilon Grain issued a statement saying their thoughts and prayers are with Heldstrab's family and that the company is cooperating with local authorities investigating the incident.
