Rodeo Legacy Banquet to benefit OSU Rodeo Team

— By Donald Stotts

STILLWATER, Okla. – Rodeo enthusiasts interested in supporting the Oklahoma State University Rodeo Team should register now to attend the Oct. 26 Rodeo Legacy Banquet at Meditations, sponsored by Ball Auction Services.

A social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. There will be live and silent auctions at the dinner. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased from OSU Rodeo Team members or Coach Cody Hollingsworth by email at coach@osurodeo.com or by phone at 405-707-7072.

Hollingsworth said funds raised through this event will be applied to program needs, rodeo travel and scholarships for team members. The team is a student organization affiliated with the OSU Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

“Team members come to the university with a commitment to their education and a passion for the sport of rodeo,” Hollingsworth said. “The team provides an opportunity for students to develop their skills in and out of the arena, while also helping to promote the heritage of rodeo through various university activities.”

Participants are asked to RSVP no later than Oct. 19 by calling Hollingsworth or signing up via the OSU Rodeo Team website at http://www.osurodeo.com on the Internet.

Meditations’ catering and banquet facility is located at 1205 N. Country Club Rd. in Stillwater.

“The team invites all alumni, family, friends and rodeo enthusiasts to be part of this important event,” Hollingsworth said. “We are especially grateful for the help of Ball Auctions in their efforts to support the team.”

Ball Auction Services has been conducting real estate and personal property auctions for more than 40 years. The organization offers computerized registration, clerking and cashiering for fast and accurate service.
