New antique shop will feature items for everyone

CHICKASHA — A new antique and apparel store, Steve's Past-Cheryl's Present, is set to open in the Midtown Mall on November 3 by lifelong Chickasha residents Steve, Cheryl, and Jeanne Jones.

"We are very excited to open this new business because there is something for everyone," owner Cheryl said.

Located between Friendly Travel and the Carpet Market, the new shop will offer a wide variety of antiques, and the owners hope to differentiate themselves from other local resale stores by offering trendy clothing, vintage jewelry, home décor, and other accessories. New brands such as Oh My Gauze and Pretty Angel clothing lines, Hobo International and Rising International wallet and purse lines, and many others will be offered.

Cheryl said, "We wanted something for both men and women to feel special when they visit our store."

The Jones group also operated Showcase Antiques formerly downtown but closed to pursue other ventures three years ago.

Jeanne said, "We just couldn't stay away. I am really happy that I will get to see some of our old clients and get to meet new ones."

The Jones' got the idea to start a new store after a recent trip to Texas where they shopped at a similar boutique.

Cheryl said, "I told myself that this is the type of boutique that Chickasha needs. So we started planning... and well here we are."
