CHICKASHA — Police Reports for Feb. 3-5

  • Charles Lafever was arrested for public intoxication at the 2100 block on S. 4th Street.
  • Jeffery Hunt and Waylan Smith were arrested for controlled dangerous substance charges. Robert Files Jr. was arrested for unlawful carry of a weapon at the 800 block on S. 20th Street.
  • A suspect was arrested at the 3000 block on S. 16th Street for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
  • A white male was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle at the 400 block on W. Almar Drive.
  • A knock and talk was done at 1900 block on Montana Ave.
  • Jesus Nungaray-Carrillo was arrested for no state driver's license on S. 4th Street.
  • A second degree burglary was reported at the 3300 block on W. Montana Ave.
  • An unauthorized use of a debit/credit card was reported at the 2000 block on S. 1st Street.
  • A found property report was issued at 400 block on W. Grand Ave.
  • Domestic abuse was reported at the 100 block on S. 4th Street.
  • An adult female was arrested for no state driver's license in the 400 block on S. 4th Street.
  • Jay Phegley was arrested for violation of a protective order at the 1500 block on S. 8th Street.
  • Officers arrested a subject for no state driver's license at the 2000 block on S. 9th Street.
  • Autom Newton was arrested for a warrant out of Canadian County at the 400 block on S. 9th Street.
  • Donald Robertson was arrested for a warrant at the 800 block on S. 4th Street.
  • William Brooks was arrested for a warrant on S. 8th Street.
  • Derrick Austin was arrested for DUI and defective vehicle at the 2000 block on S. 20th Street.
  • An incident of petit larceny was reported at the 2800 block on S. 4th Street.
  • A second degree burglary was reported at the 1200 block on W. Oregon Ave.
  • James Baker was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia at the 1800 block on S. 14th Street.
  • Reports of threatening to perform acts of violence was issued at the 200 block on E. Georgia Ave.
  • An officer took a stolen vehicle report at the 1400 block on W. Iowa Ave.
  • Joseph Dixon was arrested on Grady County warrants at the 1400 block on W. Frisco Ave.
  • Zackery Thomas was arrested for obstructing an officer and encouraging delinquency of a minor. The juvenile was arrested for possession of marijuana.
  • Officers arrested a juvenile for public drunk and obstruction at the 700 block on S. 4th Street.
  • Officers arrested a juvenile for a juvenile pickup order at the 700 block on S. 4th Street.
  • Yashema Johnson was arrested for possession of marijuana at the 1700 block on S. 4th Street.
  • Officers arrested a subject on outstanding warrants at the 1800 block on S. 17th Street.

  • Water tops CIP list as tax deadline looms in near future

    The possible extension of the CIP three-quarter sales tax, which expires early next year and will require a vote, was the main topic of discussion for the CIP Tax Oversight Committee on Tuesday.
    The main focus of the meeting centered on city plans, mainly improvements, which will be implemented if the tax is approved for continuation.
