Chickasha wrestling wins titles in Lawton, Westmoore

— The Chickasha High School, Junior High and 6th/7th grade wrestlers competed at the Westmoore Open tournament Saturday, and four wrestlers came back champions.

Josh Latham was the only high school wrestler out of four participating to win a championship, winning at 195 pounds. David Eakers (138) and Bubba Wright (170) both finished second, and Riley Williams placed fourth at 182 pounds.

In the junior high division, Lamar Neff won the championship at 106 pounds. Denver Calhoun (126) and Devon Stephens (80) placed second, and Javier Willets placed third at 98 pounds.

Both 6th/7th grade division wrestlers won their weight classes. Austin Barron won first at 140 pounds, and Triston Hopgood won the 106 pound title.

The Chickasha Youth wrestlers were at the Lawton Storm Open, where Ryder Ramsey won the Division 4 championship at 88 pounds. Hobie Stephens was second at 52 pounds in Division 3.

Chris Drew finished second at 64 pounds in Division 3, Jaxon Randle finished third in Division 1 at 37 pounds, and Jordan Hefley finished 3rd in Division 1 at 52 pounds.

The Junior High and Youth teams will wrestle today at home in a dual against Elgin and Lawton. The CHS team will compete in the Anadarko Open on Saturday.
