The USAO women’s basketball team won its first two games of the season, beating Southwest Assemblies on Friday and Friends University on Saturday at the Southwest Christian Classic in Bethany, Okla.
The Drovers start their season at 2-0.
USAO guard Krista Ford started the season off in a big way, scoring 27 points in Friday’s game against Southwest Assemblies on 11-for-20 shooting.
Rocio Modrano was the team’s second-leading scorer with 21 points and six assists. The Drovers shot 46 percent in the game.
The USAO women will play again at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Northwood University.
