The Chickasha High School varsity volleyball team lost to the Noble Lady Bears on Tuesday night at Noble High School.
The Lady Chicks lost the match in three straight games, going down 14-25, 24-26 and 21-25. Chickasha is now 5-17 this season.
"We played much better tonight," head coach Nancy Waters said. "We did a better job of working together in the second and third games, and the score shows that."
Waters said her team knew what to expect from Noble, and it helped the Chicks compete.
"We knew they were going to tip and push the ball all night, and they did," Waters said. "We were ready for that, and were able to get those balls up."
The junior varsity team won two close games to win its match against the Lady Bears.
Chickasha JV won in two games, 25-18 and 25-23.
"The JV did a nice job, and Malorie Mottinger and Jordan Biddy really controlled the net," Waters said.
The Chickasha Middle School team lost two games to one; 11-25, 25-23 and 6-15 in the team's final match.
The Lady Chicks' next game is scheduled for 5 p.m. tonight at Deer Creek High School.
