CHICKASHA —
What should you do about someone who speaks evil about you, someone one who hates you, they despitefully use you, and persecute you? Jesus said that we should love them; we should speak good of them and not speak evil about them in return; and that we should pray for them.
Why should we be so good to others who have treated us so badly? Because we are children of the most high God and we should follow His example. He makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust. He forgave you, didn’t He? Be like your Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 5: 44-48) ~Walker
