CHICKASHA — A power outage around 3:30 p.m. plunged 821 Public Service of Oklahoma customers into the dark according to a PSO representative.
As of 4 p.m. PSO had not assessed the cause of the outage, but said repairmen were enroot.
A spokesperson for PSO said they expected to have power full restored by 6 p.m. The power was back on for most of the affected areas by 4:45 p.m. As of 5:30 p.m., when contacted, PSO was unable to provide a cause for the outage.
Reports from City Hall said the blackout extended from downtown Chickasha to Highway 81.
Areas Northwest of downtown reported experiencing a brief power surge, but never fully lost power.
