CHICKASHA —
Thursday afternoon Chickasha Police Officer David Harper-Head located twenty 20-year-old Hector Jahan Camacho Jr who was wanted for a Probation Violation after he was spotted as a passenger in a vehicle. After taking the suspect into the custody, officers located a pair of metal knuckles with a spring loaded blade along with a loaded 9mm handgun in the vehicle. Camacho had previously been convicted of pointing a gun at another person in 2011 and is the suspect in a similar case that occurred within the past week. After the arrest, officers with Chickasha PD, the 6th Judicial District’s DA Task Force, and the Oklahoma Dept of Corrections went to his residence in Chickasha (W Florida Ave) and located approximately three ounces of marijuana, digital scales, prescription drugs, and two two packages of a synthetic drug compound commonly called K2 or Spice. In addition to the drugs, two more handguns and $2165 was found, all of which was seized by the officers.
“This is an example of an officer making an arrest and then following it up with a detailed investigation with the assistance of other agencies to help build a solid case that takes drugs and violent offenders off the streets and betters our community,” commented Chickasha Police Chief Eddie Adamson. “By having multiple law enforcement agencies involved in an arrest and investigation such as this, it benefits us all by coordinating our efforts to deal with problems.”
Comancho was taken to the Grady County Jail on the charges of Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Possession of controlled substance without a valid prescription, Possession of a firearm by a felon, Unlawful carrying of a weapon, and Failure to pay drug tax stamp.
