The Chickasha High School boys 200 yard freestyle relay team qualified for state with its fourth-place finish Thursday at the Suburban Conference swim meet.
Russell Jobe, Dale Courtney, Kale Nye and Andrew Ross finished the race in 1:46.00, one second faster than the state qualifying mark.
The boys relay team also earned a medal in the 400 yard freestyle relay, finishing third in 4:10.31.
Overall, Chickasha medaled in five events at the conference meet, which was held at Harrah High School.
Madison Rivas was the top finisher for the Chicks, placing second in the 500 yard freestyle.
Caitlin Critchfield finished third in the 100 yard butterfly.
The girls 200 yard medley relay team of Kylie Foster, Bailey Bryan, Critchfield and Rivas placed third, and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Foster, Kristen Kern, Bryan and Greta Crowl also finished third.
The Lady Chicks ended up third in conference with 84 team points. Carl Albert was first with 117, and Shawnee was second with 103.
The Chickasha boys tied with Piedmont for fourth place with 51 points.
Chickasha swimmers will have one more chance to qualify for state, with the team's final meet at Oklahoma City Community College on Feb. 8.
Other results: Rivas placed fourth in the 200 yard freestyle.
Hailie Luther placed fifth in the 200 yard freestyle.
Courtney placed fifth in the 200 yard freestyle.
Jobe placed fifth in the 200 yard individual medley.
Critchfield placed fourth in the 50 yard freestyle.
Crowl placed fifth in the 500 yard freestyle.
John Allen placed fifth in the 500 yard freestyle.
Foster was fifth in the 100 yard backstroke.
Ross was fifth in the 100 yard backstroke.
Bryan was fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke.
