Local bakery prepares for Valentine's Day

CHICKASHA — Keepin’ It Sweet Bakery is sweetening up the most romantic day of the year.

With a dozen floral and speciality shops around Grady County, Keepin’ It Sweet provides a different kind of Valentine’s Day gift, owner Cody Alexander explained.

“We’re really the only place in Grady County that offers anything like this,” Alexander said.

Keepin’ It Sweet offers delicious deals including a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries or a half dozen valentines themed cupcakes with a balloon bouquet for $20. For $5 more, Keepin’ It Sweet can deliver.

As Keepin’ It Sweet likes to say, “Cheaper than flowers and so much sweeter.”

The locally owned bakery also makes custom cakes and sells a variety of other items including cookie sandwiches and single cupcakes that are offered in over seventeen varieties.

Keepin’ It Sweet will be taking orders for this year’s Valentine’s Day until the Tuesday before, Alexander explained.

“We will have a little extra items on Valentines Day, but quantity will be very limited,” Alexander said. “Most of our items will sell out by 2 p.m.”

With 17 varieties of cupcakes and workers who love what they do, they are expecting to make a lot of people’s Valentines Day sweeter this year.

Keepin’ It Sweet is making final preparations for Valentine’s Day, to place an order call 405-320-5904 or visit the store at 1724 S. 4th Street. They are open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
