Memorial Services for JoAnn Nichols, 65, of Chickasha, will be held Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 3 p.m. at New Life Christian Church in Chickasha, with Ezell Nelson officiating.
JoAnn Nichols was born Aug. 28, 1947, in Munich, Germany, the daughter of Bill A. Johnson and Margie Mae (Smith) Johnson. She died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Jo Ann lived most of her life in Chickasha. After retirement she was employed at the Senior Community Development in Newcastle. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and American Indian arts and crafts. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she enjoyed spoiling them. She also enjoyed shopping with her best friend and sister Cody Eades. Jo Ann also loved spending time with her Aunt Eureka
JoAnn is preceded in death by both parents; infant sister Mary Carol; and grandparents Jim and Mary Johnson.
Survivors include three children, Shana Nichols of Mustang; Robert and Cindi Nichols of Verden; and Terri and Johnny Thayer III of Santana Valley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Randi, Chris, Tyler, Braydon, Ethan, Dakota, and Levi; one sister ,Cody Eades of Mustang; and one aunt, Eureka Julian of Chickasha.
Memorial service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
