CHICKASHA —
After scoring a hat trick in Thursday’s game at Lubbock Christian, Stephen Owusu was named Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Owusu came in off the bench in Thursday’s game to score three unanswered goals to give the Drovers the 3-1 win over the Chaps and help secure the undefeated season.
He comes in as USAO’s second leading scorer with 11 goals so far this season. It is his first year with the Drovers and his first career hat trick.
It is Owusu’s first conference honor and the Droves’ sixth of the season.
Owusu is a freshman forward from Accra, Ghana. He is a business administration major and is the son of Kwabena Owusu.
