— Three Chickasha High School powerlifters earned medals at a meet Friday in Yukon. John Phillips won the 275 pound class, squatting 500 pounds, bench pressing 335 pounds and dead lifting 530 pounds. Shaq Oliver was second in the 145 pound class lifting 275 pounds on squat, 245 pounds on bench and 315 pounds on dead lift. Austin Valdez was third in the 220 class with a squat of 385, bench of 255 and dead lift of 460 pounds. There were 17 schools and approximately 250 athletes present at the meet, which was the last before regionals this Friday in Anadarko.
