The Chickasha High School volleyball team struggled at Deer Creek as the Lady Chicks varsity lost its sixth-consecutive match.
Neither the junior varsity nor the varsity could win a game against the Lady Antlers, and the varsity’s record fell to 5-18. Deer Creek won the varsity match 11-25, 12-25 and 19-25.
“Not a really good night,” head coach Nancy Waters said. “We came out very flat and did not play well.”
The junior varsity was coming off a draining tournament win just one day earlier in Tecumseh, and it affected their play against Deer Creek.
“You could tell the JV had a tournament let-down,” Waters said. “After playing so long and so hard on Wednesday, it was tough to come back and play well on Thursday.”
Chickasha’s next match is schedule for 4 p.m. Monday, the last home match for the Lady Chicks this season.
