CHICKASHA —
The Chickasha High School volleyball team held its annual banquet Monday at the Activity Center, handing out awards for the accomplishments of the past season.
The players who won all-tournament honors throughout the season were recognized. Mikala Harris and Alei Gann (Tecumseh Tournament) and Chloe Reyes from the Skiatook Tournament.
Four Lady Chicks were recognized as all conference players. Chloe Reyes was named to the first team, Ashley Hannah earned her way on the second team, and Rory Troub and Alei Gann earned Honorable Mention.
Gann had the most aces and assists, Reyes had the most blocks and kills, Troub had the most digs and Kaydee King had the best serve percentage this season.
Jordan Biddy was named most improved, Hannah got the "Will to Win" award. Raven LeBlanc was the rookie of the year, and Reyes and Devyn Crosley were named co-Most Valuable Players.
Head coach Nancy Waters also thanked Hank and Alison Ross and Lisa Hannah for their support of the volleyball program.

Now on the desk of Animal Shelter Supervisor James Kasper, seven kittens saved from a dumpster on Wednesday are making progress toward a time when they can be adopted.
After being plucked from a dumpster on the north side of town, seven kittens now sit in a green carrier in the Chickasha Animal Shelter with a new found sense of hope.
