CHICKASHA —
Hart Trailers of Chickasha has rolled out the new official OU Boomer and Sooner trailer.
The trailer will carry the OU ponies, Boomer and Sooner, to home games, away games, bowl games as well as promotional events and fan festivals.
Boomer and Sooner pull the Sooner Schooner wagon at OU games and events.
"It will take them wherever the ponies need to be," said Tracy Hart-Graham of Hart Trailers.
The trailer was made with the ponies in mind, she said.
And travel those ponies do. Boomer and Sooner covered about 4,000 miles in a single month around the state.
The large logo that surrounds the entire trailer was designed by the OU graphic design department in coordination with Hart Trailers.
"There are a lot of OU fans, so it was a labor of love," Hart-Graham said.
She said that she wanted the public to enjoy the trailer. There are plans in the works for Sooner and Boomer to visit Chickasha. Details will be forthcoming.
The 2013 model is also special to the Hart Trailer company because this is their 45th anniversary year in business.
Two trailers will be made for OSU at Hart Trailers. One will be for their mascot, Bullet and the other will be for the OSU equestrian team.
