CPD searching for potential predator

CHICKASHA — The Chickasha Police department is investigating a situation where a White male subject  approximately 30 years of age, brown mid-length hair, skinny face with hair on his chin, and light colored eyes driving a white extended cab pickup, lower to the ground, with mud all over it, and tinted windows pull up to a 13-year-old female that was walking to her school bus stop at 20th Street and Texas Avenue.

The man rolled down the driver side window, and asked the juvenile "Will you help me find my puppy? He is in the back seat and I can’t find him.” The Juvenile recognized this was potentially a dangerous situation and fled the area on foot. Major Elip Moore of the Chickasha Police Department said “The schools as well as surrounding agencies have been notified of the situation and we are looking in to the matter."

Moore said this sort of action is not common in the area.

"It's a rare occurrence in this community," he said. "It's pretty obvious to from our perspective what was going on and we're concerned that a younger child may have gone with him, but thankfully this young lady was able to get out of a potentially dangerous situation."

If you have information on this incident you’re encouraged to contact Chickasha police at 222-6050.
